Concert Choir

The 菠菜网lol正规平台 Concert Choir is the large, auditioned choir comprised of some of the finest singers at San José State University. Membership in the ensemble is open to both undergraduate and graduate students of all majors by audition.Music Majors concentrating in voice must participate in Concert Choir as a major ensemble. Auditions are held before classes begin each semester. 

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday 12:00 - 1:50 PM

The 菠菜网lol正规平台 Choraliers is the most advanced chamber ensemble at the university and is comprised of undergraduate and graduate students. Membership is open to all 菠菜网lol正规平台 students through a rigorous audition. The choir performs a wide variety of repertoire at the highest level of the choral art. The Choraliers perform nationally and internationally as well as within California and the 菠菜网lol正规平台 community.

Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday 1:30 - 3:20 PM

Spartan Glee Club

Spartan Glee Club is a non-auditioned ensemble comprised of undergraduate and graduate students (tenors and basses). Membership is open to all 菠菜网lol正规平台 students, regardless of major. The choir performs a wide variety of music and allows students to learn and perform an array of repertoire written for lower voices (tenor and bass).

The choir performs a wide variety of music and allows students to learn and perform an array of repertoire written for treble voices.

Vocal Jazz Ensemble

The Vocal Jazz Ensemble is an auditioned jazz choir comprised of undergraduate and graduate students. Membership is open to all 菠菜网lol正规平台 students, regardless of major.

Opera Theater

The Opera Theater program provides training in performance and interpretation techniques, stage movement, and other related subjects necessary for a career in performance or teaching. A major scenes program is performed at the end of each semester and is accompanied by piano. Fully staged operas with orchestra are performed every other year.

Those students accepted into Opera Theater must register for both MUSC 152 and MUSC 161. Schedule: Monday, Wednesday 2:00 - 3:50 PM
